Weekly Lead Paint Post
Unfortunately this lead paint post has become a weekly event. But here are some new toys that are affected by the recall. A few are nice wooden “unplugged toys” that I would actually have bought (but fortunately didn’t). Four are made by Schylling, a brand I really like. How sad.

Yeah, not only will I be missing out on the Mother of the Year award this year, I also lost eligibility for Aunt of Year because I just bought AQUADOTS last week for my 3 YEAR OLD NIECE and my 7 year old Silly Goose so they’d have a “nice craft” to do together!!! I frantically called my bro-in-law and he’d already heard the news yesterday because he interrupted my crazed call to say, “Wait a minute… Honey, take that Aqua Dot out of your mouth… Now, what did you need, Wishy?”.. tee hee! All is well at our house, but, sheesh, can’t cousins even do crafts together these days without fears of lead or date-rape-drug exposure???

*sigh* When will it end? I’d love to know how all this lead got into these toys- has it always been there, and they’re just more diligent about checking, or is it a new thing? I heard on NPR this morning about some craft beads that contain the same ingredient as the date rape drug!
